People ask why I go by Afro…
From a young age society attempted to make me hate my Afrocentric features and roots. Eventually I came to love these features I even started using the name Afro as a testament to that love and a love for all things Afro permeates all things in my life; this includes my art.
My passion projects are centered around telling stories about Black people. Apart from that I love stories that take place in between reality and fantasy. What happens when a few kids on their bikes find a genie’s lamp? I live for the situation that follows this discovery.
I am mainly a Cinematographer and portrait photographer, but I will gladly take video of or photograph your events.
For me making art is not a simple want. It feels tantamount to breathing.
